- Our diabetes specialist nurse will take your relevant history, check your height, weight and blood pressure, as well as your IFCC (blood sugar).
- The IFCC test is routinely used to diagnose and assess average glucose levels over a 3-month period. We obtain a painless finger prick sample and have your result in minutes.
- We also perform a detailed, highly accurate map of your body composition using the latest technology. Along with other useful data, we assess your visceral fat (the fat around the central organs). This is the most medically-relevant type of fat as it can increase the risk of both diabetes and heart disease.
At the end of the appointment, you will be provided with either a diagnosis or your level of risk
