The Whitehall Clinic uses the latest screening technology to fully assess your cardiovascular health

CAVI

Cardio-ankle vascular index with detailed ECG & blood pressure monitoring

The only clinic in the UK that offers CAVI (Cardio-ankle vascular index) measurements. By assessing your arterial haemodynamics (the way blood moves through your vessels) and your arterial stiffness, we can predict your vascular age. This signifies narrowing of your arteries that increase the risk of cardiovascular events such as heart attack and stroke.

Butterfly iQ+ ultrasound

Using the latest in-clinic ultrasound technology, we are able to image your heart and blood flow in true colour to further assess your overall cardiovascular health.

Inbody 570

Accurately analysing your body composition including visceral fat, muscle and total body water allows us to identify potential risk factors for cardiovascular disease and other illnesses. We also use the InBody 570 to monitor and track progress following lifestyle and medication interventions.

The Age Reader

We are the only Clinic in the UK that offers the state of the art, non-invasive AGE Reader to provide an immediate real-time prediction of heart and cardiovascular risk. The AGE Reader has been validated in large scale clinical studies around the world and has been in use for 15 years and used in over 1000 clinics worldwide. The AGE Reader allows us to quickly, reliably and painlessly measure your cardio-vascular risk for major chronic diseases, such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease and kidney failure.

30 minutes

Results available immediately

  • Our diabetes specialist nurse will take your relevant history, check your height, weight and blood pressure, as well as your IFCC (blood sugar).
  • The IFCC test is routinely used to diagnose and assess average glucose levels over a 3-month period. We obtain a painless finger prick sample and have your result in minutes.
  • We also perform a detailed, highly accurate map of your body composition using the latest technology. Along with other useful data, we assess your visceral fat (the fat around the central organs). This is the most medically-relevant type of fat as it can increase the risk of both diabetes and heart disease.

At the end of the appointment, you will be provided with either a diagnosis or your level of risk.

30 minutes
