DIABETES RISK ASSESSMENT - £100

If you have concerns about having diabetes or want to determine your level of risk of diabetes, we can provide quick results with our in-clinic tests.

  • Our diabetes specialist nurse will take your relevant history, check your height, weight and blood pressure, as well as your IFCC (blood sugar).
  • The IFCC test is routinely used to diagnose and assess average glucose levels over a 3-month period. We obtain a painless finger prick sample and have your result in minutes.
  • We also perform a detailed, highly accurate map of your body composition using the latest technology. Along with other useful data, we assess your visceral fat (the fat around the central organs). This is the most medically-relevant type of fat as it can increase the risk of both diabetes and heart disease.

At the end of the appointment, you will be provided with either a diagnosis or your level of risk

The complete in-clinic heart screening using the latest technology and testing for same day results

LABORATORY TESTS

The Whitehall Clinic offers and extensive range of private blood and urine tests. They can be added to your medical assessment or purchased separately. The tests are taken in-clinic, immediately dispatched and analysed by our partner laboratory facility. The results are usually available within 1-7 days, depending on the tests taken. All results are returned with a detailed explanation and recommended next steps.

CANCER SCREENING BLOOD TESTS
  • Septina-9 blood test – £250

A revolutionary new epigenetic blood test to assess the risk of bowel cancer. We are one of only a few clinics in the UK that use advances in gene technology to identify the possibility of having colorectal cancer, by taking a simple blood test.

  • Prostate Cancer – £50

Screening blood test PSA Measures the total amount of prostate specific antigen (PSA) in the blood. PSA is a protein made only in the prostate gland and can be produced by normal, abnormal and cancerous prostatic tissue. Cancer causes more of this protein to be made and leaked into the blood than normal prostate tissue. As a result, Total PSA is used for assisting in the diagnosis and monitoring of prostate cancer. Interpretation depends on age / clinical history.

  • Ovarian Cancer Screening blood test – £50

This tests CA-125 for the early detection of ovarian cancer.

LIFESTYLE AND WELLBEING BLOOD TESTS

  • B12, Folic Acid & and Vitamin D – £150

These are vitamins that are found in sufficient levels in a healthy balanced diet. However, in certain times in life or in certain conditions the levels of these vitamins in the blood can drop.

  • Thyroid Function Tests – £50

A profile to assess the function of your thyroid and establish if it is underactive (hypothyroidism) or overactive (hyperthyroidism). 

  • Coeliac Disease Screen – £100

To help diagnose Coeliac disease, an autoimmune disorder of the small intestine. Coeliac disease is caused by a reaction to gliadin, a gluten protein found in wheat, barley and rye.

  • Menopause Screen – £150

Detailed hormone analysis to help diagnose the menopause which occurs at an average age of about 50, but the usual range is anytime in the late 40s to the early 50s.

  • Andropause Screen – £150

Detailed hormone analysis for the age-related hormone changes in men that occurs around the age of 50 These tests check for testosterone deficiency syndrome.

  • Sexual Health Screen – £300

Tests against all common and well known STIs/ to diagnose all of the most common and well documented sexually transmitted infections.
